Can a doula support a hospital birth? Do I need a doula if I have a midwife?
Absolutely, a doula can support you in any birth setting, including hospitals.
Do I need a doula if I have a midwife?
Midwives provide medical support to you and your baby. Doulas provide emotional and physical support, often for an extended time period, especially in early labor.
Will a doula replace my husband’s support?
Absolutely not! My favorite thing to tell parents who worry about this is that I support dad so he can better support you!
What is your philosophy on birth?
I believe that each pregnancy and birth experience are unique. How supported you feel during pregnancy and postpartum literally reshapes your brain! So I am here to explain your options and help advocate for you so you feel calm and respected during the entire process.
